The WCOOP is starting next week, and every online grinder worth his salt
will be playing in them. These are the softest tournaments of the year,
because thousands of seats will be awarded via satellites with an entry
fee of just a few dollars. The largest events are the $10K buyin on
September 6, the $25K buyin on September 13, and the $10K HORSE on
September 20. Fortunately, most events are $215 and $320, so there's
plenty of action for everybody.

Appeal in SDNY Case Dismissed
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the
$13 million seized by the Attorney General of the Southern District of
New York will not be returned at this time. The judge decided that
the suit was better handled as a part of the ongoing criminal
investigation. No ruling was made on the merits of online poker.
Aggressive Play Part 2 -- Checkraising the Flop
When should we checkraise? When it accomplishes our goals. What does a checkraise accomplish? First, a high percent of the time, our opponents fold. Second, it bloats the pot.
