SEGA Games Ltd. filed an application with the Alderney Gambling Control
Commission in March 2009 to enter the online gambling market. Sure
enough, the application passed and SEGA now has a full interactive
license and can begin operations.
SEGA has partnered with Playtech for this foray into online gambling.
The two are working on finishing touches on the SEGA Casino and SEGA
Poker sites. For those of you wondering whether Sonic the Hedgehog will
be making an appearance, rest assured, SEGA characters will be
incorporated into the games.

comprehensive gaming regulations with the strictest requirements and as
such is recognizes as the most reputable online gaming jurisdiction.
This provides as excellent fit with Sega's regulatory compliant
strategy, and we are pleased to be approved by this leading authority,"
a SEGA spokesperson said.
