Hey all and welcome to my new blog. I'll try to post a bunch
but we'll see how it goes... if you know me you'll know that I'm built for
sloppy, not for speed. Since this is my
first poker blog I would like to thank Sam for bringing me on board
RiskOriented.
Alright now on to what really matters and that's shipping donkaments and making that coin. First of all it's all about bankroll mgmt and if you can't grasp that then... pull the trigger(lol j/k)... no but seriouslly move on to something else cause your just waisting your time. I always had this theory that if you're a fighter you'll never make it in this profession because one cannot handle the emotional swings EX. 2am bars just closed your rocking your new Cubs jersey feeling fresh as hell and some doosh yells "FUCKING CUBS SUCK 100 years of F***ING LOSING". If your first instinct is let's throw down then your toast in this industry. The biggest weakness I see in players is the ability to not control their emotions when things are not going their way and they start "pressing" and start making thinner calls and super light plays and continue this play for a long period of time(its crippling). AND FOR THE LAST TIME no one wants to hear bad beat stories we all got them..I wanna hear the situations like I got A-6 with 11 bbs on the button and agro big kid from the cut off opens do I ship?
Have a dream, believe in yourself, have the confidence that you can beat anyone, love the game, love the grind, dream big and don't fall short. I am a strong believer in positive thinking and if you have the drive you can accomplish anything. Set goals it's so important to visually see yourself achieving that goal and just putting that mental image in your brain strangely enough impacts shit. Don't grind if you are stressing for bills, have money set aside for poker and remember the easiest way to a millionaire is to save like a millionaire not spend like a millionaire. Don't let poker control your life though..yea the money is nice but don't let it impact relationships..and yes I myself am a victim of this...But love grinding and if things are not going your way think about how lucky you are to be where you are not living on less than $2 dollars a day(I apologize for those of you who are). We are very fortunate and always remember that when things are not going your way.
As Dave Matthews once said "Celebrate we will Cause life is short but sweet for certain"
